Higher Education for Asset and Property Managers
 
The Carol Ann Powell Memorial Scholarship was established to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education in asset and property management.

The scholarship provides an individual with $1,000 towards their choice of program(s). These funds may be used for BOMI designation classes [e.g. Real Property Administrator (RPA®), Property Management Financial Proficiency Certificate (PMFP), RPA|High-Performance (HP)], BOMA Orange County Industry Luncheons and education programs, BOMA International's “Every Building Conference & Expo” and more!

 
Eligibility and Criteria
Active employment in the commercial real estate industry.
Must be a Principal Member* of BOMA Orange County or work for a Principal Member of BOMA Orange County.
Letter stating personal goals and/or accomplishments.
Completeness of application, including all required information.
 
Use of Scholarship
The scholarship must be used the following year in which it was awarded. 
BOMA Orange County must approve use of scholarship funds prior to enrollment in selected programs. 
Scholarship recipient will be reimbursed for approved expenses only.
 
Procedure
Application must be received by September 30, annually.
Submit application and required documents to BOMA Orange County
Information received is confidential and is reviewed by the Scholarship Committee members. 
Recipient(s) will be announced at the Annual Awards of Excellence Gala.

* Principal Member is a real estate owner, manager, developer, investor, licensed real estate broker, leasing/marketing agent, corporate real estate professional, facilities manager, building engineer, and all others involved in owning, managing, developing, investing, leasing or controlling real estate property.
